For Rust & Raven, I built the identity around a illustrative style that balances gothic influence with a sense of playful character. I designed a custom raven illustration as the core symbol, using a coffee bean to form the raven’s pupil. To deepen the mythology without making the tone too heavy, I incorporated a staff as a light-hearted reference to the raven’s association with death in folklore. I extended these elements into the typography, using the raven’s eye as negative space within selected letters to create cohesion across the system.
